TIDE SWASH^™ “STYLE REPORTER SEARCH” CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

1. HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Through the Tide SWASH “Style Reporter” Contest, Tide SWASH is looking for a “Style on the Fly” Reporter. You can enter at the casting call event or online (see Rule # 3 for entry details). There are three “Style Reporter” scripts available. Create a video of 90 seconds or fewer of yourself delivering all of the lines contained in the “Style Reporter” script you selected. In addition, at the beginning of your video, answer the indicated questions about yourself. At the conclusion of the entry period, judges will determine up to 25 Finalist entries (up to 15 Finalist entries from the casting call event and up to 10 Finalist entries from the online submissions). The Finalist entries will be posted on the SWASH Style Reporter Search group page on Facebook.com. Facebook members will have the opportunity to comment on the Finalist videos to determine the “fan favorite” winners. A panel of Judges will judge the Finalist entries to determine the Grand Prize winner.

2. ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is open only to full and part time students enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program at the University of Kentucky at time of entry who are residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older as of date of entry. Employees of Procter & Gamble, HotNewz.tv, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.

3. TWO WAYS TO ENTER:

• AT THE CASTING CALL EVENT: Visit the Tide SWASH “Style Reporter” casting call event to be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008 from 12:00 (noon) ET to 6:00 PM ET at the Kappa Alpha Theta House, 329 Columbia Terrace, Lexington, KY and complete an Official Entry/Release Form. Select the script you wish to perform from among the three script options available. You will have 90 seconds to answer the indicated questions about yourself and deliver all of the lines contained in the “Style Reporter” script you selected. Casting call performances will be videotaped. You must follow the instruction of the event staff. See below for video/submission requirements. By attending the casting call, you are not guaranteed an opportunity to perform. Performances will occur only within the specified start and end time and will be on a first come, first serve basis. Sponsor reserves the right to change time at its sole discretion. Limit one performance per person. All performances must be by the entrant only; no other person(s) are permitted to perform, in whole or in part. Select materials will be provided for entrant’s use during the casting call event; at the end of each entrant’s performance, all materials must be returned to Sponsor.

• ONLINE SUBMISSION: You need to register to become a HotNewz.tv Reporter in order to submit an entry into the contest. Beginning 12:00 (noon) ET on 10/22/08, visit www.hotnewz.tv/swash and follow the on-screen instructions to register to become a HotNewz.tv Reporter; registrations must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET on 11/9/08. Once your registration has been confirmed, you will receive an email from HotNewz.tv. The three “Style Reporter” scripts will be available online. Create a video of 90 seconds or fewer of yourself delivering all of the lines contained in the “Style Reporter” script you selected. In addition, at the beginning of your video, answer the indicated questions about yourself. To submit your “Style Reporter” video, follow the onscreen instructions to upload your video and submit your entry into the contest. See below for video/submission requirements. Entries must be received by 12:00 (noon) ET on 11/12/08.

LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, REGARDLESS OF METHOD OF ENTRY. Participants may not submit a video/submission for another person. Videos/submission must be in English. All material submitted becomes property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Limit one Finalist video per person.

By submitting entry, 1) entrant certifies that the entry he/she submitted is his/her own original work and he/she holds all rights to the submission, that the submission has not been previously published, has not won a previous prize or award and that he/she has followed the Official Rules of the Contest, 2) entrant certifies that he/she has received written permission from the videographer of their video if the video entry was taped by someone other than the entrant him/herself and can make written copies of such permissions available to the Sponsor upon request and 3) entrant herby grants Sponsor the right to post submission online for public viewing/commenting, should entrant be deemed a Finalist.

Video/Submission Requirements:

• The entrant must appear in the video. The video must contain the entrant only; no other person(s) may appear in the video, in whole or in part. In addition, entrant must also receive prior written permission from the videographer of their video if the video entry was taped by someone other than the entrant him/herself.

• The video can be in color or black and white; the video must be in MPEG, AVI, QUICKTIME, FLV, or WMV format.

• Please do not include any personally identifiable information about yourself or any other person(s), in your video.

• ALL ENTRIES MUST BE YOUR OWN ORIGINAL UNPUBLISHED WORK AND CANNOT CONTAIN, INCORPORATE OR REFERENCE ANYTHING THAT IS OWNED BY ANY THIRD PARTY OR ENTITY OR WOULD REQUIRE THE CONSENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY OR ENTITY IN ANY JURISDICTION.

• Submissions must not contain defamatory words/statements (including words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic group); they must not include threats to any person, place, business, or group; they must not disparage persons or organizations associated with the Sponsor; they must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm, entity, and they must not in any other way contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to all applicable federal, state, or local laws and regulations or the laws or regulations in any state where video is created. The submission cannot contain any unacceptable clothing or adornments, or display any commercial/corporate advertising (including but not limited to corporate logos, brand names, trademarks, slogans, political, personal and religious statements), except as noted herein, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Submissions must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age. Submissions may not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent (including but not limited to nudity or pornography), profane, obscene, hateful, tortuous, slanderous or libelous and may not in any way reference persons or their likenesses or organizations without their written permission and without full disclosure to them regarding the entry of the video in the Style Reporter contest. The submission must not contain material that promotes, depicts or suggests any of the following: (a.) Alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms or weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing); (b.) Any activities that may be construed as unsafe or dangerous, or promotes any particular political agenda or message; or (c.) Violence of any kind, illegal gambling, child abuse, stalking, sexual assault, fraud, trafficking in obscene or stolen material, drug dealing, theft, conspiracy to commit illegal activity, and threats of violence against a person, place, or organization. The submission must not contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement. Sponsor/judges reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any entry that, in their sole opinion, refers, depicts or in any way reflects negatively upon the Sponsor, the Contest or any other person or entity, or if video depicts usage experiences that do not portray usage of the product in compliance with the Sponsor’s standards or does not comply with these requirements or these Official Rules. Submissions must be suitable for presentation in a public forum, in sole determination of judges and/or Sponsor.

• Submission may include Tide SWASH brand names, trademarks and/or product; however use of Tide SWASH product in video is not required and will not impact the judging. The use of Tide SWASH brand names trademarks and/or product is permitted only for the purpose of entering in this Contest. Entrants shall not submit any material containing the Tide SWASH brand names, trademarks and/or product to any other third party.

• Any music, lyrics, sounds, props, or any other creative element used in the video must be entrant’s own original creative work and cannot have been previously published.

4. FINALIST DETERMINATION: All eligible entries received will be preliminary judged to determine up to 25 Finalist entries (up to 15 Finalist entries from the casting call event and up to 10 Finalist entries from the online submissions) by a panel of HotNewz.tv representatives. Each entry will be judged on a scale of 0 to 4 on each of the following criteria: Is Comfortable & Confident; Speaks Clearly; Proper Pacing; Appropriate Tone; Personality; Eye Contact; and Overall Appearance. The total maximum score is 28. In the event of a tie, tied entries will be broken based on the highest score for “Personality.” Finalists will be notified by email/mail/phone.

5. FAN FAVORITES DETERMINATION: The Finalist entries as determined per Rule #4 will be posted on the SWASH Style Reporter Search group page on Facebook.com where Facebook members will have the opportunity to comment on their favorite video. There will be two Fan Favorite winners determined (one from among the casting call Finalists and one from among the online submission Finalists). The casting call Finalists will be posted beginning 12:00 (noon) ET on 11/10/08 through 12:00 (noon) ET on 12/8/08 and the online submission Finalists will be posted beginning 12:00 (noon) ET on 11/26/08 through 12:00 (noon) ET on 12/8/08. During these dates, log in to Facebook.com and search for “SWASH Style Reporter Search” in “groups” to comment on your favorite video. You must be a Facebook member in order to comment on Finalist entries. Comments must be in accordance with Facebook guidelines. If you are not a Facebook member, follow the instructions at www.facebook.com to sign up for membership (there is no fee to become a member). The casting call Finalist entry with the highest number of user comments (positive and negative) will be deemed a Fan Favorite. The online submission Finalist entry with the highest number of user comments (positive and negative) will be deemed a Fan Favorite. Limit one comment per Finalist entry per Facebook member. If more than one comment is received for an entry per Facebook member, only the first comment received will be counted. In the event of a tie, tie will be broken based on the highest total score as determined from the panel judging, per Rule #6. Winners will be notified by mail/express delivery carrier.

6. GRAND PRIZE WINNER DETERMINATION: Up to 25 Finalist entries as determined per Rule #4 will be judged by a panel of experts, under the supervision of D.L. Blair Inc., an independent judging organization, to determine the Grand Prize Winner. Each Finalist entry will be judged on a scale of 0 to 4 on each of the following criteria: Is Comfortable & Confident; Speaks Clearly; Proper Pacing; Appropriate Tone; Personality; Eye Contact; and Overall Appearance. The total maximum score is 28. In the event of a tie, tied entries will be broken based on the highest score for “Personality.”. Winner will be notified by mail/phone/express delivery carrier.

7. PRIZES: Up to (28) prizes, with a total maximum approximate retail value of $3,100 will be awarded as follows: (1) Grand Prize: Winner will receive a 3-day/2-night trip for winner to New York City. Prize includes round-trip coach air transportation from Lexington, KY to New York, 2-nights hotel accommodations, and $300 spending money. At Sponsor’s sole discretion, winner may also take part in the filming of a style segment to be aired on HotNewz.tv. (Approximate Retail Value: $2,100). There is no monetary value associated with winner’s participation in the filming of the style segment or the airing thereof; the date(s)/time(s) of airing of the style segment will be at sole discretion of Sponsor/HotNewz.tv and no monetary compensation paid in connection therewith. Winner is solely responsible for all other expenses not specifically set forth herein, including but not limited to meals, additional transportation, souvenirs and other incidentals and items of a personal nature. The actual retail value of the prize will depend on winner’s dates of travel. (2) Fan Favorite Prizes (one from among the casting call Finalists and one from among the online submission Finalists): Each winner will receive a $250 Mod Boutique gift certificate; subject to certificate terms and conditions. Up to (25) Finalist Prizes: Each Finalist will receive a selection of Tide SWASH products (selection to be determined by Sponsor). (Approximate Retail Value: $20 per prize). Prizes consist of only those items specifically listed as part of the prizes. Limit one Finalist prize per person.

8. GENERAL RULES: Potential Grand and Fan Favorite Prize winners (or parent/legal guardian if potential winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility certifying that the submission is his/her own original work and he/she holds all rights to the submission and all elements therein, that the submission has not been previously published, has not won a previous prize or award and that he/she followed the Official Rules of the Contest. Additionally, potential Winner (or parent/legal guardian if potential Winner is a minor) will be required to complete a Release of Liability, Prize Acceptance Form and, if legally permissible, a Publicity Release. All documents must be completed and returned within 5 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected, time permitting. Grand Prize Winner must possess required travel documents (e.g., valid photo ID) prior to departure and must agree to depart and return on dates specified by the Sponsor; dates of departure and return are subject to change. No substitution or transfer of prize by winner permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Sponsor/judges reserve the right to reproduce the submissions in full or edit and enhance the submissions at its discretion. Sponsor is authorized to use submissions as it sees fit, including usage in advertising and online without compensation. By accepting prize, winners (or parent/legal guardian if winner is a minor) agree to hold Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. Winners (or parent/legal guardian if winner is a minor) assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its agencies to use winners’ names and/or likenesses and/or entry submissions for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, including a winners’ list, unless prohibited by law. Entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor) agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless from and against any and all liability and damages. By participating in this promotion, entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor) agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the judges’ decisions which are final. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any promotional materials and the terms and conditions of the Official Rules, the Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the promotion or in the announcement of the prizes.

NOTICE TO ONLINE ENTRANTS: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Not responsible for faulty, incorrect or mistranscribed phone/facsimile transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind, technical hardware or software failures of any kind including any injury or damage to any person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or experiencing any materials in connection with the promotion, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user’s ability to participate in the promotion. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for undeliverable e-mails resulting from any form of active or passive e-mail filtering by a user’s Internet service provider and/or e-mail client or for insufficient space in user’s e-mail account to receive e-mail. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the promotion if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the program; or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration or security of the program as determined by Sponsor/judging agency/administrator, in their sole discretion. In the event of termination, a notice will be posted online and all eligible online entries received prior to termination and all eligible entries received at the event will be included in the judging. If technical malfunctions or suspect voting/irregularities corrupt the Fan Favorite determination process, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to award prizes based solely on the Finalists Judging scores per Rule # 4 or non-suspect votes. Any damage made to the Web Site will be the responsibility of the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Proof of submitting entries/comments will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or the like methods of participation will void all such submissions by such methods. Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the participation/comments of an individual/account holder if fraud or tampering is suspected or if the account holder fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules.

9. WINNERS: The names of the Grand Prize and Fan Favorite Prize winners will be available online beginning on/about 12/29/08 through 1/12/09 on the SWASH Style Reporter Search group page on Facebook.com and www.hotnewz.tv/swash.
