No Death Pics

President Barack Obama has decided not to release photos depicting Osama Bin Laden’s body. According to the White House, “there is no doubt” that Bin Laden is dead and a photo wont “make any difference.” There is also some speculation that a death photo could be used rally Bin Laden supporters.

Mine Explosion

Rescue teams continue to look for 9 miners trapped in Mexico. An explosion occurred Tuesday morning in the mine, but authorities were forced to wait until toxic gas dissipated before conducting a search. 5 bodies have been founds so far.

Death Penalty

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak could face death if convicted of issuing the order to kill protestors. Egypt’s Justice Minister says the charge comes “with a harsh penalty” and that the court “will not hesitate” to issue a death sentence. Mubarak resigned after massive protests ignited in Egypt last February.

Proud Parents

Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon have announced the names of their twins. Their son Moroccan Scott Cannon, is named for Cannon’s grandmother and could be a nod to a Moroccan themed room in Carey’s New York City apartment where Cannon proposed. Their daughter Monore Cannon is named for Carey’s inspiration: Marilyn Monroe.
