The death toll in New Zealand continues to rise as rescuers discover more bodies trapped in the rubble from Tuesday’s earthquake. A 6.3-magnitude razed buildings, warped streets and destroyed iconic landmarks in Christchurch. 98 people are confirmed dead and another 226 reported missing.
Jailed polygamist leader Warren Jeffs is reportedly running a fundamentalist group of Mormons from his cell in Texas. Sources in the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints say Jeffs has regained control of the church and ousted 30 members of the congregation. Jeffs is set to stand trial this year on bigamy and sexual assault charges.
No this is not a flash back to 2009, Toyota is recalling another 2.2 million vehicles amid safety concerns. Floormats could cause gas pedals to stick in certain models, while an improperly placed retention clip could interfere with the arm of the accelerator in others.
If you thought bacon flavored ice cream was strange, you may want to steer clear of the new flavor at British ice cream parlor “Icecreamists.” They’re serving up scoops of “Baby Gaga” ice cream, made with real breast milk. The makers of the frozen treat screen all donating mothers and then mix their milk with vanilla from Madagascar and lemon zest.
