Here’s a look at today’s top stories…
University of California – Santa Cruz reopened today after an onslaught of demonstrators forced the school to close. Yesterday students and teachers across the country protested education budget cuts during the National Day of Action.
A bus en route from Mexico crashed in Arizona killing six passengers. The driver lost control after rear-ending a pickup truck, and the bus rolled into a ditch. 15 of the 21 passengers were taken to a local hospital. The bus driver is cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
Another Country, Another Quake
A 6.5 magnitude quake struck off the coast of Sumatra today. Although no damage or injuries have been reported the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there is a small possibility of a tsunami affecting the coast.
You might think that people who talk a lot are happier, but it depends on what they’re saying. A recent study finds that happy people engage in 1/3 less small talk than unhappy people.
