Here’s a look at today’s top stories…
Bengals receiver Chris Henry has died. The football player and his fiancé, Loleini Tonga were involved in what police are calling a “domestic situation.” Apparently Tonga tried to drive away when Henry jumped in the bed of her pickup truck. He fell out and died from his injuries early this morning.
A senate panel has voted to keep Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke in office for another term. Now the full senate will vote on his confirmation in January.
Sarah Palin is apologizing to Sen. John McCain for a controversial photograph of her that’s been circling the internet. Plain was snapped wearing a McCain visor with the Senator’s name blacked out, while she was on vacation in Hawaii. She says she was just trying to be “incognito.”
Watch out Earth, there’s a new Earth in town, sort of. Astronomers have discovered a “super earth” 40 light years away. The planet is 2.7 times the size of our earth and has water. Scientists say the “super earth” rotates around a star smaller than the sun and is probably too hot to support life.
