Here’s a look at today’s top stories…
For the first time since taking office, President Obama faces a majority of public disapproval. A new CNN poll finds fewer than half of Americans agree with the President on issues important to them.
Negotiators for Iran have reached a deal on nuclear fuel production with diplomats from the U.S., France and Russia. The agreement could delay Iran’s ability to make nuclear weapons by sending material to be processed in Russia instead. But it has not yet been approved by Iran’s leaders.
A terrorism suspect is in custody after allegedly plotting to attack Americans in a mall. Tarek Mehanna is being held by the Justice Department in Massachusetts. He and two other co-conspirators also allegedly planned to kill U.S. politicians and American nationals overseas.
Keep washing hands and sneezing into your sleeves; H1N1 vaccine production is behind schedule. The Centers for Disease Control now predicts the vaccine won’t be widely available until mid November.
