Here’s a look at today’s top stories…

Failure, Apparently IS an Option

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is defending Republicans who say they want President Obama to fail. Recently the controversial question “do you want the president to fail” has been posed to politicos. Jindal says it’s the latest example of “gotcha politics” and that wanting the President to fail is all right if you think he’s leading the country in the wrong direction.

No YouTube for China

China is blocking access to YouTube. The government there hasn’t offered a reason for disrupting access to the site, but says it’s “not afraid of the internet.” YouTube has been blocked in China before. In 2008 the country disabled the site after videos surfaced of Chinese police beating protestors in Tibet.

Home Sales Climb

Some good economic news: home sales rebounded in February for the first time in 10 months according to a government report. Analysts say the boost in sales is a good indicator that the economy is starting to stabilize.

Dead Certainty

Students looking for a “recession-proof” job are turning to the dead. Mortuary school applications are booming amid the economic crisis. It’s an $11 billion industry, and let’s be honest, at some point we’re ALL going to contribute to it.

Pachyderm Polo

It may not be as fast-paced as regular polo, but in Thailand elephant polo is all the rage. 12 teams from around the world kicked off The King’s Cup Elephant Polo tournament, riding elephants instead of horses. Just imagine the size of the divots on that field!
