Although our brothers to the north are often subject to ridicule, I feel as though they’ve gotten a raw deal.

Let me explain… Canada isn’t just some barren waste-land covered in ice floes and populate by moose. It’s actually got a lot to offer.

Here’s my list of Top 5 Reasons I Like Canada:

5. Mounties: It’s not like I’m some 5-0 loving nark. I just like to look at the pretty horses. Besides they’re like modern day cowboys. Hello!

4. Niagara Falls: OK, technically this could be a vote for the state of New York as well, but any tourist attraction that prompts people to hurl themselves in barrels over millions of gallons of rushing water should be taken seriously.

3. Hockey: I like hockey for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which involves cute boys roughing each other up on the ice. Plus, I’m awed by their speed and agility. Maybe it’s because I never learned to skate.

2. The U.S. dollar is strong there: well stronger…

1. And the number one reason I like Canada is: It just makes me think of a simpler time. Like Little House on the Prairie… if the prairie was really a frozen tundra.

Besides I’m not alone… 91% of Americans polled, said they think they’d have a better life if they moved to Canada. It’s true. I saw it on the Newz.
