I have an issue. And I don’t know how to address it without seeming callous. But please. Please. I beg you. Nay I implore you. Can we please for one day talk about something other than the environment?

I get it… we’re running out of oil, the ozone is still full of holes, and landfills are quickly overflowing with plastic and toxic waste. Yeah it’s an issue. But let’s take a break from the whole “love our earth” hippy-dippy-tree-hugging thing.

I don’t want to watch a concert where musicians chastise me for my wasteful ways. I don’t want to hear another bummer story about how U.S. greed and consumption is ruining it for the rest of the world. What i want to hear is a positive spin on it. Tell me about the good work we’ve been doing so far (we already KNOW we need to do more). Or tell me EASY ways i can go green. Like the clip below on eco-friendly brands. I’ll never be the kind of girl who trades her Hollywould’s for Birkenstocks, and yes on occasion I will forget to recycle my NYT. But it doesn’t make me a bad person, I promise.
